Initial Consultation
The first step is an initial consultation with Jasper in his office, located near to Exeter. Whilst there you'll chat about what you want to achieve through surgery and your suitability. Then Jasper will examine your breasts and outline realistic outcomes following surgery, as well as the options available to you. It's a friendly chat, and crucially it's about your comfort and happiness with the possible options.
Second Consultation
Your next step is to return to Jasper's Taunton office for a free secondary consultation. It's here where you'll work with Jasper to finalise the size and shape of your implants, as well as to discuss any potential complications which may arise from surgery. It's also a great opportunity to ask Jasper any questions you might have about your procedure.
Procedure Day, What to Expect
Making the short journey from Exeter, you'll be admitted to the ward at Taunton Nuffield Hospital on the day your operation is scheduled. Once there, helpful, friendly nurses will make you comfortable before you meet with Jasper prior to your operation. You'll go over the procedure again before you're placed under general anaesthetic, at which point Jasper will begin work on your procedure.
Going Home
Most people are ready to go home later on the day of surgery. Have a friend or family member pick you up as you will be unable to drive initially and take a few days to rest. About ten days after, you will visit Jasper for a post-op consultation to remove your dressings and check your wounds are healing well. Just remember to stock up on soft and supportive bras for the first six weeks of recovery! Jasper will see you in clinic for a final visit three months after surgery.
Getting Back to Normal
Typically, breast augmentation surgery mandates that you take a week or two off work. Swelling in your breasts will gradually subside over 4-6 weeks as well as any pain.
Whilst it's possible for some people to drive after just 48 hours, in our experience, most people feel comfortable driving after around two weeks. After six weeks, your regular exercise regime can be resumed and you can go back to wearing your underwired bras.
