Initial Consultation
Your first step is to travel to Jasper's Taunton office, just a short drive from Bristol. There, you'll chat about what you hope to achieve through surgery before Jasper examines your chest and outlines your suitability and realistic outcomes you might expect following surgery. It's a wonderful opportunity to pick the brains of a highly experienced breast augmentation surgeon.
Second Consultation
Your next meeting with Jasper is a free secondary consultation where you'll work with Jasper to finalise the key details of your surgery. Aspects like the size and shape of your implants will be discussed and any questions you may have regarding your surgery will be answered. It's all about your comfort, happiness and ensuring you have trust and confidence in your surgeon.
Procedure Day, What to Expect
On the day, you'll make the short trip from Bristol to be admitted to the ward at Taunton Nuffield Hospital. Once there, helpful nurses will ease any tension you may have and Jasper will arrive to go through your procedure one more time. Then you'll be placed under a general anaesthetic and Jasper will begin work on your previously agreed procedure.
Going Home
Most people are ready to go home the day of surgery, but if not a bed will be available to stay overnight free of charge. Driving isn't advised for at least 48 hours post-surgery (rising to two weeks for many), so have somebody give you a lift home. After ten days, you'll visit Jasper for a post-op consultation to check on your healing, before a final visit three months after your surgery. The appointments are included in the pricing, along with any others you may require until discharged fit and well.
Getting Back to Normal
Most breast augmentation surgery requires that you take at least a week or two off work to recuperate. Swelling in your chest will subside after around 4-6 weeks, alongside any residual pain. After six weeks, you should also be able to resume your regular exercise regime and you can return to wearing underwired bras, too.
